Views of Liberton Golf Course

Welcome to Liberton Golf Club

The course is a rolling parkland course in the south east of Edinburgh. The fairways are tight and the greens are relatively small but, well guarded.

Liberton Golf course can offer an enjoyable and testing round of golf for all levels of golfer. We are particularly suited to visiting parties wishing to play two full rounds of golf in one day.

ANNUAL PRIZEGIVING

It has been necessary to change the original date for this event, the new date is Friday, 18 November 2016 at 7.00pm. This is due to the England vs Scotland International Football match being held on the 11th November and Council considered that given the match is live on television this would impact on the numbers being available to attend.

ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM

Following discussions at Council it has been agreed to introduce an online booking system within the Club. The aim is to go live with this in February 2017. This system is being provided by a company called BRS Golf, BRS are one of the major online booking companies in the Country and provide services to a very large number of golf clubs UK wide and around 250 in Scotland. BRS Golfs sister company is Teeofftimes.co.uk which is a company that the Club already uses. The system will allow members to book tee times for casual and competition play, open competitions and reduces the need to call the office or Professional shop to check availability. The system will also provide a visitor module which will enhance the experience of visitors booking outings, single rounds etc. This will link into the catering facility to ensure that visitor needs are fully met. The system also has an Administration Module which will reduce the ever increasing workload within the office, particularly around open competitions, room hire and function hire. So as members have a full understanding of the system, its functionality and to demonstrate the ease of use, the Scottish Representative, Barry Johnston will be providing a short presentation to Club Members followed by a Q&A session. This will take place on Wednesday, 2nd November 2016 at 7.00pm in the Function Hall. Please make an effort to come along and find out how the system operates and how it will benefit you as a member.
